Louise Brooks
Louise Brooks is senior partner in Gullans & Brooks, which she founded in 1986. Over almost two decades, Ms. Brooks has personally overseen the design and construction of scores of important residences throughout the United States.
Prior to forming Gullans & Brooks, Ms. Brooks was an associate at the firm of GN Associates, where she was responsible for the design and management of several A.I.A. award-winning projects including the renovation of General Electric's Executive Offices in Fairfield, Connecticut. At Sylvan R. Shimitz Associates, a lighting consultant in New Haven, Connecticut, she worked with many prominent architectural firms, including I.M. Pei and Skidmore, Owings & Merrill. Her responsibilities as a project manager at Tilton and Lewis Associates in Chicago, Illinois, included the renovation of Wingspread, the Johnson Family residence.
Ms. Brooks serves on the advisory board of the Bank of New York - Mellon, and on the Housing Board of the Town of New Canaan. She received a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Saint Mary's College and studied architecture at the University of Notre Dame and Drexel University.
